Consequences

I do not remember how i got back to the outer edges of the town. I did not get close to the town before the searchparties found me. I believe however that a few of them thought i was a ghost, or perhaps a demon before they recognized me. I was dirty. Exploring dirty old caves, taking half a shower in the rain before going back through all that dust leaves traces. In my case, lots of traces. I am quite sure that one of the guards accompaning the searchparty drew his weapon, even tho he denies it. They were both happy to have found me alive and angry beause I had broken one of the most basic laws we have, do not leave the settlement without premission. The first thing they did was to bring me back and almost forced me to take a shower. The second thing was to get me dressed properly, apparently the council had an emergency meeting because of me. I thought that getting something to eat was a better idea but they did not want to listen, just as usual.
Two guards escorted me with great hurry to the House of Council. Tho, in this case, great hurry, meant that they tried to walk fast and that I, who were stuck in a heavy robe which apparently were the proper dressing, were gettin to warm cuz of it and decided to walk in a pace that my clothes allowed me. This annoyed the guards which obvioulsy were under orders to bring me there quickly. The only way they could make this quicker would have been by carring me which they did not dare. After alittle while we got there, the guards seemingly relieved by it, I had on the other hand become more troubled as we got closer. This wasn't the first time it had been discovered that I had broken the law of not leaving the settlement but it was the first time they had a meeting because of it. They could not know that I had been to the surface so that could not be it. It had to be something else. At that time I could not figure it out and the Council did not give me the time to either. As soon as we got to the pre-chamber to thier room I was showed in. That was something new aswell. Usually they would let you wait a few hours before seeing you if it was not important. If it was important you would still have to wait half an hour atleast. I were shown in through the big wooden doors, one of the few wooden doors down here since most actuallty were made of either metal or stone.
The first thing that struck my mind were that there was both runelight from the walls aswell as lightsticks hanging from the cieling, making it very bright in the room. The thought that I must not let them see any kind of weakness, including surprise, passed my mind and I didn't let them see that it had surprised me. I took the few steps needed to reach the seat intended for me, I knew were it was, I had been there before. I carefully sat down and decided to look at the council after doing so.
They were five, all old by our measurment, crowned by white or gray long hair and one of the three men had a long beard. They had all eyes that seemed full of wisdom and as if they could look into your soul and find all the thruth you whised to hide. They could not do that last thing and they were not all-knowing, I had been there enough times to know that aswell.
"Amaterasu Llinderia of the BloodCresent House, Descendant from the first Guardian of Lore and the third Keeper of Knowledge, daughter of the late Llindera Aella of the CresentMoon House, daughter of councilmember Mihaly of the BloodLake House," my father began speaking, his voice showing no sign of age, "you are to stand trial before us, accused of breaking the fourth law of Protection, third law of Costody, repeatdingly breaking the law of Exilement and for secretly learning the forbidden arts."
The woman on his right side rised once he had taken seat again.
"What are your defense against these accusations, Child?"
To hell with not showing them any feelings, I did not even understand what they were talking about, well, I did know the three first things but what were the forbidden arts? I had to find out, but I would have to be carefull about it. I stood up.
"Great Council, father, grandma. I can not answer your question in proper manner because I do not know what the laws say. I have neglected some of my studies in favor for that I found of a more mental value to me. My mother would not have wanted me to be miserably and in her memory I decided to spend my time doing something else."
"What it basically says it that you have left the settlement without premission, escaped from your guards when you have been charged quilty and ventured off again, visiting the surface and learnt magic." The woman looked at me now as if I really was a child, I did not agree. I had turned 24 and graduated with honor. Under normal cicumstances any of those would have made them consider you an adult. However, my circumstances was not normal. Two of my familymembers were in the council and my heritage did not help either. But I must admit, in these cases it were better to be seen as a child than an adult.
"To my defense I say: I admit I have left without premission several times, the guards are never looking so I can basically just walk out the back door every time so that can not be considered escaping. Today was the first time I ever was at the surface and that was not in my control. Finnaly I can honestly say, I do not know how to use magic anymore than any of you."
They all looked at me as if I were crazy. My father arose.
"You have been gone over a week. After the first two days in which you had promised to return your friend told us. We assumed you had lost track of time and would come back within a day or two. After four days you had not yet returned and we decided to start looking for you. The caves are big and hard to find your way in. We had just reached the outer edges of the areas that we know fairly well even though they are still forbidden grounds, when you showed up. Whereever you walked in the town you activated things that had laid dormant in the abscent of a user of magic. When you entered this room you lit the runes on the walls. That can only been done by magic. If it is true, what you say, then you can not control the magic you can learn. You are still young and your power, like ours have, will grow as you grow older. In our town there is noone that can help you learn theese things. You have become dangerous." He looked at me with saddened eyes. "You also just admitted that you had been to the surface, breaking the terms of our exile. With that confirmed there is no other possibility than to sentence you as guilty. With this said there is only one option left for you since you have broken our exile. You must go into exile yourself and leave this place. We suggest that you make a home on the surface. You have the knowledge of how to defend yourself. You must leave within one week."
"This is our judgement," the council said with a united voice leaving no room for discussion. I sat there showing nothing but confusion and grief. I had been banned from my home.
Chapter two comes after the first chapter right?

Well, here it is. If it seems abit hectic its okay, its supposed to not make much sense because the writer was confused about this. Don't worry, things will get explained eventually. Be patient^^

Ps. Theres probably even more grammar/spelling errors in this one. I is atm to tired to check it properly. Let me know if you find any and I should deffo fix them.

Enjoy~
